Charleston Custom House Secession Flag 3×5
The South Carolina Secession flag consists of a red swallowtail shaped flag with a single white star and an upside down crescent toward the top.
History of the South Carolina Secession Flag
On the day after South Carolina seceded from the Union, the SC Secession flag was flown over the Charleston Custom House. Shortly thereafter several other South Carolina cities displayed the same flag as a sign of their support of secession. The South Carolina National flag was adopted a short time later, so the Secession flag had a fairly short life. It was also subsequently flown on the CSS Dixie, which was a Richmond Class Ironclad Confederate warship.
2 ply polyester is the most durable option for those who fly their flag 24/7. This flag features beautifully embroidered stars and lettering, sewn panels with rich, vibrant color. All of the artwork is visible on both sides of the flag and the lettering reads correctly from one side only.
